Just two weeks after its debut, Wednesday, has become one of Netflix's most popular series of all time and the third most-watched TV title in the streaming platform's history.

With the success of the show which was created by Tim Burton and stars Jenna Ortega, the original goth and black-on-black fashion icon is expected to be a major source of style inspiration this season. The hashtag #WednesdayAddamsCosplay already has over 139 million views (and counting) on TikTok. Jenna for her part tends to let life imitate art, donning outfits with a distinctly gothic yet glamorous edge.

"I'm loving the dark, gothic energy going on right now, especially with the Versace show, which was amazing with the dark bridal looks," Munroe Bergdorf told Hello! Fashion's Tania Leslau at the Fashion Awards earlier this week, "Also, with Wednesday and more gothic themes coming out, I want to embrace more of that side of my personality."

It seems like fashion insiders have been ready and waiting to get in on the action. Fashion app ByRotation, has even amassed an edit of pieces you can choose from to get the ‘Wednesday’ look. "From the Prada biker boots that made an appearance in the show, a romantic gothic dress from Self Portrait, to striped black and white items from Stella McCartney and Toteme," they explain.

Jenna Ortega has been wearing goth inspired clothing recently

They aren’t the only ones who have been at it. Thanks to celebrities such as Dove , Kourney Kardashian and Olivia Rodrigo the once dormant goth trend is back and better than ever, this time with a delicate, contemporary twist. The award-winning ‘Drivers License’ singer is devoted to the new aesthetic and is often spotted in floral mini dresses with platform leather boots. It also takes just one look at Kourtney Kardashian’s avant garde Italian wedding to Travis Barker to see that the whole event was an ode to gothic style. Likewise Tish Weinstock’s Halloween wedding and its 'Gothic Black Tie' dress code (attended by Sabine Getty, Kate Moss and Adwoa Aboah) was proof that the look is the chicest trend in fashion circles right now.

Becoming a prominent trend amongst Gen Z in the aftermath of the vibrance of Y2K, the new look is taking pop culture by storm. After becoming a brunette and taking on a darker new branding with hit single ‘Boyfriend’, Dove Cameron is officially the reigning queen of the look for her sultry eye makeup and attention to flirty outfits with an enchanting twist.

So how do we achieve the Wednesday Addams look and still look fashionable? This is an elevated and chic nod to our gothic fantasy... so trade in the ripped tights for delicate Wolford fishnets. Think kohl eyeliner and dark velvet bows, offset by tiered chiffon, crochet cardigans and moon necklaces. Platform babydoll heels in black are also a must. Currently the ultimate must haves on every Glam Goth girl’s wish list are the satin Versace platforms heels and pretty much any dress by Vampire’s Wife and Alessandra Rich.

Get your goth on.
