Game of Thrones' Natalie Dormer wows at star-studded BAFTA dinner

Game of Thrones actors Natalie Dormer and Kit Harington joined a host of stars at a BAFTA fundraising gala dinner and auction on Thursday night. The duo mingled with famous faces including Tom Hiddleston, Julie Walters and Joanna Lumley at the glittering pre-awards event held at BAFTA's Piccadilly headquarters.Reading-born Natalie, 32, turned heads in a sleek black gown and monochrome strappy heels while 28-year-old Kit, who plays Jon Snow in the popular HBO series, opted for a smart black suit and a grey pinstripe scarf.

Natalie Dormer wowed in a floor-length black dress

When quizzed on whether she prefers starring in Game of Thrones or The Hunger Games, diplomatic Natalie said it was impossible to choose. "I'm so lucky I'm part of two such incredible families at the moment," she said. "Really talented, impressive ensembles. [It's] just a lot of fun as well on both, so I can't [choose]. I'm Hunger Thrones,"Peep Show actress Olivia Coleman was also at the event, which was raising money for Give Something Back, as was her Broadchurch co-star Meera Syal.Brother and sister acting duo Emilia Fox and Freddie Fox also showed their support for the charitable evening. Emilia, 40, wowed in a vintage-style scarlet dress by Temperley while her 25-year-old brother looked dapper in a black tuxedo complete with a bow tie.

Elsewhere at the bash Downton Abbey star Jim Carter, who plays butler Mr Carson in the period drama, enjoyed a glass of champagne with his actress wife of 32 years Imelda Staunton.London-born Imelda is nominated for a BAFTA award this year thanks to her role as Hefina in comedy drama movie Pride, which also stars Freddie Fox.The 59-year-old will go head-to-head against Emma Stone, Rene Russo, Patricia Arquette and Keira Knightley.

BAFTA's gala also welcomed Joe Dempsie, Edith Bowman, Henry Cavill, Lesley Manville, David Parfitt, Olivia Grant, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Art Malik and Andy Serkis.Green Wing and Paddington star Stephen Mangan and his No Angels actress wife Louise Delamere also made an appearance.BAFTA's highly anticipated ceremony takes place on Sunday night.Competing for the coveted Best Film award are The Imitation Game, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Birdman, Boyhood and The Theory of Everything.
