Becks dismisses rumours as 'ludicrous'

David Beckham has hit back at rumours he had an affair with his personal assistant Rebecca Loos. The England skipper released a statement to dismiss the reports after Rebecca's brother claimed the relationship had indeed taken place.

"During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life," said Becks. "What appeared this morning is just one further example. The simple truth is that I am happily married, have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing that any third part can do to change these facts."

But it was noted that the footie ace did not explicitly deny the affair. And Rebecca's brother John seemed adamant when he spoke to journalists about his sister's relationship with the athlete.

"I had no idea Beckham was cheating on Victoria with my sister," he said. "I am shocked. I have spoken to Rebecca and she has confirmed she had an affair with David."

Becks has since flown out to Geneva to meet up with his wife and their two children. Victoria, meanwhile, has affirmed that she trusts her husband completely.

Tabloids reports of an affair between David and Rebecca first surfaced last September when they were pictured at a Madrid nightclub together. The PR girl, who is the daughter of a Dutch diplomat based in Madrid, was working for his management company SFX at the time. She lost her job after the rumours first surfaced and David switched to a rival firm.
