Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is due to give birth to her second child in March, but has the heir to the Swedish throne decided to give birth at home in the palace?According to the Swedish journal, Svenskdam, the pregnant princess and her husband Prince Daniel are planning to deliver their new baby in their home, the Haga Palace. The royal couple, that moved into the palace three years ago, live with the princess’ family and believe that it is the perfect atmosphere to welcome the new royal baby.

Crown Princess Victoria is set to give birth in March

Despite nearing her due date the mum-to-be has shown no signs of slowing down. Although she has confirmed that her last scheduled event is set for 15 February, it is believed that the princess may continue to work up until a few days before the birth, as she did during her first pregnancy, with Princess Estelle. "The royal family have engagements that are not on the official calendar," said the Swedish Royal Court Spokeswoman Margarate Thorgren to the Swedish newspaper Expressen.On Wednesday, the 38-year-old attended the Global Change Awards at Stockholm’s City Hall in a stunning midnight blue floor-length lace gown. She accessorised her look with blue earrings and a sparkling clutch bag.

Prince Daniel and Victoria are looking forward to adding to their family

Victoria seemed in high spirits as she greeted guests before taking her seat at the awards, which were set up by H&M to recognise innovative ideas that will improve sustainability in fashion.Prince Daniel and his wife, who announced that they were expecting their second child in September, have yet to reveal the gender of the child, but have joked that their three-year-old daughter Princess Estelle "really wants" a hamster, more than a baby brother or sister to play with.
