Prince George is 'obsessed' with tractors and has been given a £100 toy truck

Like father, like son. Prince George has inherited Prince William's love for motors and has taken a particular shine to tractors, it seems. The young royal has got his hands on his first set of wheels – a miniature tractor toy worth £100.

George, who turned two in July, loves driving the mini truck around his country home Anmer Hall in Norfolk under the watchful eye of his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, The Sun reports.

His parents William and Kate have given their little Prince the freedom to experiment with the tractor, which has a front loader and a tipping digger bucket that George can play with.

The toy is made by agricultural company John Deere; there are several different models of the children's toy online but all are designed to help develop children's motor and pedalling skills.

The company holds a royal warrant to supply the Queen, while her granddaughter Zara Phillips also acts as a John Deere brand ambassador.

Last week during an engagement in North Wales Kate, 33, revealed that her son is "obsessed" with tractors and anything that has "big wheels".

George is also showing an interest in helicopters, like his dad Prince William

The Duchess' little boy also seems to be following in his father's footsteps and is showing a deep interest in helicopters.

Before moving to London and Norfolk, the Prince was based in Anglesey with his wife Kate, where he worked as an RAF search and rescue pilot. William, 33, now works as a pilot for charity East Anglian Air Ambulance.

"William used to fly us around when he lived and worked up here [in North Wales] and I was telling him about the new helicopters," said Pauline Hallett of Ogwen Mountain Rescue.

"Catherine then said how much George loved them. He knows all the different colours and asks her about all the parts. She laughed and said she tells George to ask Daddy as she has no idea."

There is one passion that Kate is hoping George won't inherit from his dad though. Last month the Duchess admitted that she is "filled with horror" every time William goes for a spin on his motorbike.

"I'm terrified," said Kate during an engagement in St Andrews, Scotland. "Hopefully, I'm going to keep George off it!"
