The Bride Wars star took to Instagram with the snap as she quipped about her son's tendency to open the fridge door and stare inside. "Why do they just stare in the fridge forever…??" she captioned it, "They've been there for a solid 5 mins. It's a @chromeheartsofficial kinda morning #family."

Kate's followers were quick to share that they have experienced the same with their own children, and added that they all say the same thing when they come away: "There's nothing to eat."

One commented, "No matter what you have in there, they always say there is nothing to eat!" while a second added, "In my house it's so they can talk about how there's nothing to eat," and a third concurred, "And then they turn around and say… 'There's nothing to eat' (The fridge is full)." Kate replied to the latter with a series of laughing face emojis, suggesting that she can also relate and that her children say the same.

Kate previously unveiled another area of the kitchen when she filmed a mini cooking class in August last year. The clip showed that it has a retro aesthetic with a printed backsplash above her stainless steel stove, as well as a bright orange kettle.

Her mother Goldie Hawn lives on the same road, and her home follows a similar vintage theme.

"She's down the street," Kate told People magazine. "We're literally neighbours. Not to mention I want to buy the property next door to them, which is another thing I need to discuss with my therapist."

Kate's home is, in fact, the very one she grew up in, and no doubt holds lots of memories.
