Meghan Markle looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day to Prince Harry, her beautiful gown and veil adored by royal fans the world over. While everyone was discussing her wedding dress, we in the HELLO! office were also taking a very close look at her bridal nail colour. Did she take inspiration from the Queen's favourite pale pink nail shade, Ballet Slippers by Essie, and follow royal tradition of demure nails on her big day? Well yes, it seems that Meghan did just that.

On closer inspection, it appears the bride chose a baby pink matt hue, not dissimilar to the shade she wore for her engagement photos. Even more exciting is that an eagle-eyed Vogue staffer may have found the exact product Meghan used on the day.

The fashion publication reports that Meghan's nail colour could be CND Shellac in the shade Cake Pop. Sweet Squared, distributers of CND Shellac told Vogue: "We 'think' but can't confirm that it looks totally like Cake Pop." However the company also said there's a possibility the shade could be 'Naked Naivete', which they reveal Victoria Beckham wore at the royal wedding.

Ballet Slippers by Essie has been the Queen’s go-to colour since 1989 when the monarch's hairdresser wrote to brand founder Essie Weingarten to request a bottle of the elegant polish. The Duchess of Cambridge is also a fan of high-street label Essie – when she married Prince William in 2011, manicurist Marina Sandoval blended Essie’s ultra-wearable Allure shade with Bourjois So Laque Nail Enamel in ‘Rose Lounge’.
