"I have long battled brassy tones in my blonde – ok dyed blonde – hair," writes Nadine. "It has a tendency to go warm when coloured and super warm when in the sun. So I teamed with session stylist Larry King to find out what he recommends. He works with Mollie King, Poppy Delevingne and Pixie Lott, so he knows all about cool blondes.

"In this video, we chat about colour correcting shampoos, and take a look at what's available from salons and the high street."

How To Banish Brassy Tones From Blondes

"The secret is to choose a colour correction shampoo that works to cancel out the orange in your hair. So look out for violet and purple pigmented shampoos, conditioners, leave-in creams and treatments. Most are available in salons, but if you want to save both time and money, you can find the products on the high street.

"The shampoo we both love is the Provoke Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo (available at touch-of-silver.co.uk). This is such a great high street buy, I've been using it for decades.

"Other great salon buys which are featured include: 1. Purology Platinum, available at pureology.com 2. L'Oréal Professionnel Silver Gloss Protect for grey hair, available at lorealprofessionnel.co.uk 3. Redken shampoos, available at redken.co.uk 4. Shu Uemura Art of Color Cool Lustre Blonde, available at lookfantastic.com."
