Ola Jordan confirms she has quit Strictly Come Dancing

Professional dancer Ola Jordan has quit the popular ballroom dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing. After working on the show for 10 years the performer revealed the news on her twitter, ahead of the Saturday night’s Blackpool Tower special.Sharing the news with her fans, the 33-year-old wrote: "Hi tweeps…so, yes it’s true. I will be leaving Strictly at the end of this series. I have had an amazing ten years on the show but things change and I feel it’s time for me to move onto other things I love Strictly and have met some amazing people and made some great friends who I will miss massively, I am so grateful to the show for what it has given me."

In a following tweet she added: "I also want to thank all of you for your continuous support throughout the show. You will never know how much it means to me I love you all.""I wanted to finally say how amazing all the pro dancers are. The show is a massive success because you are all brilliant at what you do. Sometimes in life you have to take a step backwards in order to keep moving forwards. Lots of love Ola xxx"

Ola is married to fellow dancer James Jordan, who also competed on the show

This year the Polish dancer was paired with Welsh sprinter Iwan Thomas and unfortunately was eliminated in the first week of the 2015 competition. Ola, who is married to fellow professional dancer James Jordan, bagged a spot on the English TV programme after winning the championship in her native Poland.In 2009, partnered with reporter Chris Hollins, she won the coveted glitterball trophy after an incredible Charleston to Fat Sam’s Grandslam earned them perfect 10s from all four judges.
