High street fashion favourites Marks & Spencer have launched a very special range in support of Baby Loss Awareness – designed by one of their own buyers, Amy Mott, who has been personally affected. Consisting of two T-shirts and a candle featuring Amy's moving slogan, 'Everlasting Love', the pieces aim to raise awareness and encourage open conversation around a topic that tragically affects so many. The retailer has also pledged to donate £15,000 to help support Baby Loss Awareness Week, which is held from 9 to 15 October.

Speaking of her idea to launch the range, Amy said: "Having been affected by baby loss I wanted to break the silence around the issue and get everyone talking about baby loss during the awareness week. My design on the T-shirt and candle is a meaningful tribute of the everlasting love that is felt for a baby and can be worn in support of this fantastic platform that offers advice and acts as a support network." Pretty inspiring, we think you'll agree.

Each T-shirt sells for £9.50, while the candle is just £6 – and has a particularly poignant meaning behind it. The final day of Baby Loss Awareness Week sees the Global Wave of Light at 7pm – when families across the world light a candle in memory of the lives lost far too young. The T-shirt and candle will be available online only at www.marksandspencer.com from 29 September.

The annual awareness week is an opportunity for bereaved parents and their families and friends to unite with others across the world and commemorate their babies’ lives. It is also a chance to raise awareness about the issues surrounding pregnancy and baby loss in the UK – supporting the charities that are committed to providing support to anyone affected by pregnancy loss and the death of a baby, working with health professionals and services to improve bereavement care, and reducing preventable deaths.
