With Catherine Zeta-Jones as her mum, it was only a matter of time before 14-year-old Carys Douglas began showing an interest in fashion. On Wednesday, the pair stepped out in serious style during New York Fashion Week to attend the Michael Kors Collection Spring 2018 Show. Both dressed in stylish outfits, Catherine and Carys looked more like siblings than mother and daughter.

Carys looked stylish in an off-the-shoulder black top, teamed with a yellow and gold mini skirt embellished with floral embroidery. Catherine, meanwhile, looked chic in a V-neck midi-dress that cinched in at the waist with a double leather belt, enhancing the star's enviable waistline. Both completed their outfits with leg-lengthening black heels, and wore their long hair down in loose waves.

Catherine took to her Instagram account to share a video of the pair on their way to the show, which she shared with her 947,000 followers. In the footage, the actress told viewers: "Hey! We are in the car and we are off on our way to the Michael Kors fashion show today. I am with my petite fille, my little daughter." Carys is seen blowing kisses in the front seat, laughing – no doubt excited for the upcoming show.

The doting mum, who also shares 17-year-old Dylan with husband Michael Douglas, often shares snippets of her happy home life with fans, revealing to Today that she "loves" the teenage years. She told them: "I kind of pre-empted the roll-your-eyes teenager years. I love it. I just love the freshness. It’s all so exciting to me… I was working when I was my son’s age. I was in the theatre, and I look at him, and I go, 'Wow, I was working when I was your age.' So I'm just enjoying this time, learning a whole bunch of stuff that I didn't know."
