All eyes were on Kim Kardashian on Friday, as the reality TV star was honoured at Variety's Power of Women event. Thirty-four-year-old Kim walked the red carpet looking stunning in a white jumpsuit, and opened up to the film trade magazine about her step-father Bruce Jenner's upcoming TV special.

"We are going to watch the special as a family. That’s pretty much all I’m going to say about Bruce," she said

Bruce is rumoured to announce that he will transition to a woman during the ABC special interview with Diane Sawyer, which will air on 24 April.

A former Olympic athlete, Bruce talked about the importance of keeping his children a top priority in a recent promotional clip taken from the upcoming two-hour interview, and Kim revealed that the entire Kardashian-Jenner family are supportive of him.

"I think that’s what our family is about," she adds. "We’re supportive of everyone, no matter what they are going through. That’s what family is for."

Another member of the Kardashian-Jenner family also showing her support on Friday was 17-year-old Kylie Jenner.

The teen posted on social media site Instagram with a throwback picture of her father Bruce from the 1980s.

Speaking to Variety on Friday, Kim was happy to add that Bruce is "doing really good", and that she often sees him as "he’s got a new house and he loves it. I just helped move him in."

Kim discussed working with her husband, rapper Kanye West, telling the magazine: "I love working with him. I get super inspired when we’re together. It doesn’t clash for us. I work with my family. I’m used to that."

Other honourees included Lena Dunham and Rachel Weisz

Kim shot to fame when the E! reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians hit the air in 2007, and she told the magazine that she believes the show has been such a success - it was recently renewed for three more years - because of the family dynamic.

"I think the viewer has grown with us. They’ve seen us start out living a little bit differently and becoming a little more successful. They are living that dream with us and seeing us drown," she said.

"And, at the end of the day, we fight and are crazy like every other family, but we really are so close and obsessed with each other. I’ll get people who come up to me all the time and say, 'I have three sisters and you remind me of us'."
