Cheryl Cole may no longer be working on the X-Factor, but if Prince Charles' megawatt smile is any indication, she still has it in spades. The singer led a host of stars at a Prince's Trust dinner, in aid of unemployed youth in the UK. Meeting the Geordie favourite, who was pretty in Grecian frock, Charles shook her hand warmly and beamed from ear to ear.

Inside the event at the Savoy, Cheryl appeared on stage to auction off a very special prize – afternoon tea for four with the lady herself. And the Prince was grateful for the depth of her involvement, saying: "One of the people who's here this evening, to whom I owe an awful lot, I think, is Cheryl Cole, who has been kind enough to come this evening and apart from anything else, to offer herself as an auction prize, but only for tea". Despite their unlikely acquaintance, the pair are linked in their parallel charity endeavours.

The Fight For This Love singer set up The Cheryl Cole Foundation last year, helping support the Trust and disadvantaged young people in her local area. "This afternoon tea is a fun way to raise money for a charity close to my heart. I am a huge fan of the work of the Prince's Trust".  she said. "My Foundation is supporting the work of the Prince's Trust in the North East, helping young people from my part of the world to get their lives on track. It's a really difficult time for young people at the moment." Cheryl was also joined by Lulu, Alison Moyet and Jules Holland, the man the Prince once hailed as "a national treasure"
